The Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin was opened in 1968, shortly after the death of its architect Mies van der Rohe. Nearly 50 years later, this film by Ina Weisse—whose father worked for Mies—reveals how and why this modern masterpiece came into existence, and has now been meticulously restored by David Chipperfield Architects.
