Thursday, August 16th // 10:00-11:00am
626 Basic Medical Sciences Building

RSVP: Thursday, August 9th to Jocelyne.Gaudet@umanitoba.ca

Two Town Halls will be held to gather additional feedback from the UM research community regarding a Draft Tri-Agency Research Data Management Policy, which aims to support Canadian research excellence by fostering sound digital data management and data stewardship practices.

Background:
The draft policy, developed by CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC, applies to grant recipients and to institutions administering Tri-Agency funds. It includes suggested requirements related to 3 primary areas: Institutional Data Management Strategies, Researcher Data Management Plans, and Data Deposit. The Tri-Agencies have asked for feedback on the Draft Policy to inform its final design, which the agencies plan to launch in 2019. The UM VPRI Office will submit a single, consolidated response to the Policy, on behalf of researchers at the UM and based on input from stakeholders.

Feedback: You can also click here to submit your feedback via the UM’s online form, which will be open until August 20th, 2018.
